I have had many road and mountain bike helmets throughout my life and am a big biker. I love the Giro Aeon helmet and have recommended it to many of my friends! The molding is high quality and super lightweight! Even after hours of biking, you can hardly tell that its on, which is what you really want in a comfortable helmet. The inside has EPS sweat absorbing liners, which are removable so they can be washed between rides. It even comes with a second set of liners, but after a quick rinse every few rides, I have found that I never even needed the second set. Still, it's good that Giro thinks about those little extra things! The Roc Loc 5 locking system in the back is perfect! Upon first placing it on your head, you simply turn the knob until you get a good fit, and you never have to mess with it again! If you are going down different type terrains (took my road bike to Yellowstone Park where we reached speeds of up to 45 mph), then just rotate the knob one or two clicks to tighten, and then one or two clicks when you are done to go back... it's that easy!I have had a couple minor spills (never major luckily) and the helmet has done what it was supposed to do... protect the head! It never came off, never even got loose. It was good to know that it was there and well protecting the important parts! In general, the helmet breathes very well because of its ventilation slots, and they can even be used to put a lock through (I have an abus flat lock which works well) and lock it with your bike. The back has a perfect indentation for a rear Knog Blinder 1 which fits perfectly for a rear light when installed in the helmet when riding at night. Looks like it's built into the helmet! My ONLY critizism, and this is minor (not enough to warrant removing a star) is that the paint / decals do tend to rub off over time. I originally had the LiveStrong yellow, which I decided to return because the whole helmet had paint that was wearing off right away. My new Silver color also has some decals that have worn, but you know, it's not really a big deal and only noticeable if you REALLY look closely. The price of this helmet is also steep... about the most expensive on the market. If you are just a casual rider that bikes along the beach a few times a season, it may not be worth the extra expense for this high-end helmet. If you enjoy biking as much as I do, however... if you like going fast... or just like having the best of the best and looking awesome doing it... this is the helmet for you!You will be pleased that you spent the extra investment to ensure your safety and comfort while riding!
